The other side of these motors usually has a fan on it if you are having trouble with overheating you could check that the cooling fins and fan blades are clean under the covers. Even keeping the motor clean will help it radiate heat. Also the lubrication system on many of these motors is very primitive. They can need the oil changed surprisingly often. |

I changed oil frequently but after get the engine from my brother (a little too late - the engine had metal powder on oil tank !!! and need it a complete cleaning ) . In picture the engine is after a working day - very much dust also on my mouth. Yes, have a fan but is not enough. Sounds like the motor is on borrowed time metal powder in the oil is not a good sign. |

They are Americans !!! In Romania is a great respect for them. We have an american military base on Black Sea. Shame on them! Thank you all for informations, the engine was a gift and worked well until others put their hands on engine. I learned a lesson and now I know what engine is good for daily activities. Thank you again. Hobbit name: Togo Toadfoot of Frogmorton Elvish name: Mablung Miriel Beyound Arduino Lang |
