Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Well spotted.

Yeah looks like a few forum spammers popping up in there, I'll clean them out tonight. Its always a problem with any forum, as soon as we add a new login test they find a way around it. All you can do is keep an eye out for them and delete the members when you find them.

Just an idea:
Some other forums I visit have a section for items relating to the actual forum ist self. eg questions about forum use, posting links, changing user names, testing avitars, spoting spammers etc etc

I've delete a few, will get rid of the rest tomorrow. There are some real forum members with the 1/1/1900 birthdate, they just didn't enter their birthdate when they signed up.

Most of this stuff comes from China, which isn't much good for a country thats trying to get a good name in the industrial world. All different emails, so cant block a email domain ( I have blocked a few domains in Russia, they were trying to sign up about 10 times a night! ). At my last employer we were getting over 50,000 spams a week, a lot originating from China, so we simply blocked any IP originating in China. This stopped about 50% of the spam, but meant any valid business in China could not communicate with us, we had effectively isolated China from our internet access. Its unfortunate, but I think its something their government needs to address if they expect the rest of the industrial world to deal with them using the web.

Guess one of those would be me. Just never thought that my birthday was important enough to put in. Now I'm wondering if I should go change it from whatever default 1/1/1900? the computer must put in. On looking at edit my profile it is just blank waiting for input.
