Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

My Dad is on holidys and also loves the idea of wind generators, so I put him to task on the modifications and improvements I wanted with the White Pointer.
Old tower pulled down and modified to have a wider base and the centre pole is mounted solid to the top of this tower frame. This is also supported with stainless steel cables. It is a total of 12.5m high.
So now the whole tower is tilted to raise or lower. It was raised first without the generator on the top. We had plenty of helpers with this too, all wanting to sniff, lick, kick, slobber on the EV and chew the rope !!
New covers, tail and a cast furling hinge were made.

Hi Trev, very nice , are they the new FibreGlass blades similar to mine? .
I like the way you did the furling ,is that just straight out the back and how is it arranged to Furl,(maybe that's in a previous post) ?.
Still working on my new blades,,have the thick Aluminium plates to be inserted and fixed .
Like your helpers ??
