This message is not targeted at everyone. You will know if its meant for you, but for anyone else, please dont feel offended.

I've never come as close to closing the Forum down as I did today. The forum is a free service provided as part of my web site. In reality it actually costs me money. I've built this forum and site over the last 5 years, and its been alot of work. Not just html and words, but images and diagrams ( those F&P rewire diagrams took over 3 hours ). Then there are the panic attacks when the server goes down, or someone on another forum said my site had a virus! He said sorry when he realised it was another web site altogether, but someone saying my site has a virus, or someone threatening to leave, or saying the "issue has been raised in circles away from your forum", really stress me out. I'm tired of trying to keep the peace and sending personal emails to forum members who I know have been hurt.

As members of a forum, you need to understand that there are other forum members who, because of their character, you may not usually associate with in real life. However we are all drawn here because of a common interest, so we need to show a little bloody tolerance and learn to accept the fact that some forum members may give you the sh*ts.

In the last few weeks I've received personal emails complaining about several other forum members, people posting messages threating to leave , and name calling. I've read the forum threads that have caused grief, and personally I think everyone should get over it. I know some members dont have any problems with the comments, while other members jump up and down at the slightest hint of conflict. I'm not the class teacher you can whine to when little Johny blows spit balls at you. As adults we should understand that everyone is different, sometimes people can get offended by a comment we thought was helpful, or maybe we should not jump to conclusions. There are lots of friends here, so when you pick on one person you may be upsetting many more.

Compared to other forums this one is pretty casual and happy. Sometimes one needs to shutup to keep the peace.

Its a forum, people are here, grow up, be respectful. Treat the other members as if you were talking to them face to face. Say "Sorry, I dont agree with that" or "Yes thats an idea, but I myself would do it this way"

Yes I've locked the MPPT thread. Someone can start a new one if they like, but I would suggest we give it a few days. For everyone who has contributed to it, thank you and well done.
