is it posable to use a asynchronous motor to gererate power? i have a 3hp 240v motor which i have no use for

Yes you will get "SOME" power from it. This motor is a.c. It appears to be only 13 amps. And it has a rpm of 2700. It will need a lot of speed to make any real power. It will make 12 volts at a lower speed but almost no amps.
