Do the 7 phase 2 pole reconected stators work using the old 56 magnet rotors or does it need the new rotors?
I reconnected as instructed and installed my old 56 mag rotor and found cogging to be higher than before the reconnection, is this normal? I don't have a new rotor yet so I couldnt test it, any suppliers of the new rotors in Adelaide?

Hi Storm.

Yeah the 7 phase conversion only works if you use the new 48 magnet hub. Basically we have miss matched the stator and hub, and the 7 phase conversion fixes this miss match, with the big plus of no cogging.

I dont know of any suppliers in Adelaide, but any white goods agent should be able to tell you the local repair agent for F&P machines.
