I have been doing some research on wind turbines and I keep comming across this F&P smart drive? I live in United States and cannot find one. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it Thank you emtjdeems |

Hi emtjdeems The F&P is a rare beast in the USA, but you could try Randy's Workshop. http://www.randysworkshop.com/ Also check out the American based Otherpower site, http://www.otherpower.com. Otherpower make their alternators from scratch, its a completely different design than the F&P Smartdrive and involves more work, but worth looking at. F&P has a number for the US and will deliver in the USA from California. I don't have the number on me, but you can get it from their website or do a google search for Fisher & Paykel USA It might be 1.888.936.7872 If you order the parts they will most likely be the *new* style of stator and rotor. I agree that Randy's Workshop can provide you with parts for much less. Currently, I am waiting to get some neo magnets for my project from China. They magnets will be curved and slanted to conform to the rotor. I will let others know how they work out. I hope that the rotor does not get warped. |
