Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi all:

We're new here, we have posted and received good information from the discussion boards on another website.

Can anyone point us in the right direction on how to balance the blades for a new setup? We're trying to get motor mounts and furling set up today if possible. With the ranch, it'll take longer than that I'm sure.

More questions to follow
Thank you,
Bob and Pauline

Ahhhh - thank you so much. We had actually seen that somewhere along the way, but had forgotten it was there. Even if we had remembered, we probably wouldn't have known where to find it again!

Thank you,

Yeah its a good page that, thanks to Gill and Klaus. The methode is very simple and dead accurate.
I used to mount my windmill in a vise and spin the turbine around to find the heavy side. The problem was as I started to build turbines over 6 foot diameter I found the vise was too low and the blades hit the floor. So I tilted the windmill back, but this made ballancing even harder.
