Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi Crew,, Any of you out there got the new stator ??
A few,,I think .. Well if you have re-configured the wiring ,,could you comment on the results, please.?

I've re-configured mine a couple times-2 series then 3 series --heaps of volts ,,but fairly dismal Amps,,1 or 2 only ,seen 3 in a gust..

Direct drive ,the thing goes 24/7 in hardly any wind at all,,but ,,I'm interested in any of you that have been able to capture higher output.. Interested in 24 or 48 v's..

hope to hear

Bruce,
Just a thought, why not try delta? Suppose it's starting to like like a birds nest after a few alterations though?
was working fine... til the smoke got out.

yeah Gill... did the rewire some months or a year ago --put it on the geared hub and it showed 12 Amps at 30 odd volts --not too bad .. but haven't tried it on 48v yet ,,it's on the bench waiting for the test.. trouble is ,,I have to bore out the threaded lead-in section when I want to use a double rotor on trev's extended spline --there's no going back after that--- never mind ,,I'll give it a try anyhow

Have got a 100 S up as a single in Delta ,,right now ,, and with the Neo conversion get fairly good results,,in a moderate breeze.. 5 amps --at 55volts and have seen 7 Amps at 55 volts in a gust ,,,added some weight to the tail,,..

Having fun ,,will start modifying your rotor very soon ,the Neo's are looking at me

the good thing about the new series rotor is absolutely no cogging at all. Now if we could just configure the Neo's to line up the same ,,then we would be an a winner..
