Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.
I am looking for plans for a small diameter windmill that will charge a couple of 12v marine batteries. 12" blades would be great with a 20w output.
Does anybody have a DIY material list and plan available?

I suspect a small permanet magnet(PM) motor would be best for your purpose, the chalenge is to find one that is not rated too fast. Remenber voltage is linear to speed on PM motors.
