Yes. ![]() I machined out the hub and glued some Neo magnets in. It had a severe case of startup cog, I had to manually flick it with my hand to get it started. But once started it worked well. This was back a few years ago before I started playing around with F&P's and learned how to reduce startup cog. yes this is the photo I have seen before I only need 2 produce 12v @ 2a using a 9.6v cordless with 2 speed do u think it will turn? |

If your using a cordless drill motor and gearbox as your generator then I think your pushing poo up hill. Those motors/gearboxes are not meant for continous duty, they use brass bushes and will fail in no time at all. But as an experiment it could be fun. The ceiling fan blades will work OK, they are nice and light, but being aluminium they will tend to crack around the rivets and may fly off so dont plan to use them long term either.
