Hi I was wondering whether I could take my el-cheapo 2 stroke generator apart and use it in a wind mill ? The generator is 240v 50hz. Not sure what power the 2 stroke engine but I assume its about 4hp ?

Simple answer NO. It is designed to turn at 3000rpm well out of the range of a wind turbine without gearing, and gearing on wind turbines is not desirable because of losses.

At lower speed your generator may produce a voltage but if it was asked to supply current it would probally self destruct.
