Hi,

Would there be anyone else interested in some N45Neo Magnets?

L46 x W30x H10mm / Epoxy Covered. These are the type called for by Hugh Piggots plans for the dual axial flux mills, which from all accounts are very popular.

I got some pricing from a well know supplier in the US for 32 of these. The landed cost in NZ would be NZ$406 and said ooch. The price to go to Aussie was $A357

So i went looking for a chinese source..   I will be buying a few for myself, however could buy more, which could bring down the price for everyone.. We can call this a 'co-operative' purchase perhaps.

Assuming that there is interest for 10 sets of 32 magnets, the delivered to your door price in NZ would be about NZ$233.00, maybe a little less

I'll talk with one of my aussie mates tonight, i'm sure that he would organise the same thing in Aussie, you'd be looking at about $A198 + local freight around OZ ( sorry i have no idea of freight rates in OZ )..

I want 4 sets of 32 magnets for myself, so thats only a need for 6 more sets.. Post here if you are interested.. BTW, this is'nt a firm committment to purchase, i'm just trying to guage interest..

Indicate if you live in the outback or are over the ditch..

NB: You'll need

8 for a 1200/1800mm mill.
24 for a 2400/3000mm mill.
32 for a 3600/4200mm mill.

We probably can do smaller sets if that makes it easier or more appropriate..

Hope to hear from you..

I have heard that the epoxy coating may be black and may be only paint, as it scratches off pretty easily.

You will only find this out after you have parted with your crinkly stuff.

So, you know where these magnets are coming from and have inspected the samples then?

If you are following the construction details for either the otherpower or piggott mills, you'll know that you'll need to apply other protective measures.

The coating on the magnets is a good measure for shipping and if you have them sitting around for a while.... FYI, the price difference between epoxy and no expoxy is a matter of 4c per magnet.
