Things to look for in these new wind-turbine shops on the internet.

Does it use a modified automotive alternator, if so deduct 2 points.

Does it use metal blades, if so deduct 2 points.

Calculate swept area, calculate possible output if output exceeds Betz limits, deduct 2 points. If output exceeds theoretical, deduct 4 points.

If the mill has more than 3 blades, deduct a point per extra blade.

Start with 10 points .... if you end up with less than 9 points, look somewhere else.

Ron

I'd say I hate to be so negative but I believe there is a small industry that will destroy small wind turbine acceptance. Products like the one mentioned will hasten goobernment intervention and regulation.
