Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me. |

Hi David Probably not, they are low voltage motors and you would be lucky to get over 1 volt as a windmill. A better motor would come from a old printer, but you wont really know unless you build the windmill and try a few different motors to see what gives the highest voltage. Hi Glenn, I hooked up my little slot car motor and made a little vawt with a laundry detergent cap placed a large funnel to channel wind to one side and its pumping out 3 volts in a 7mph wind. I think the funnel helps a lot!!!! David If your not living on the edge your taking up to much space!

This is my changes so the wind will start it instead of a tornado its made from a slot car motor, fishing reel with gears removed, old fan blades, pvc pipe & a rubber band. I have seen three volts out of it so far Please tell me how I have done on my first attempt at a wind generator, thanks guys If your not living on the edge your taking up to much space!
