They also sell them in Canada & here in the U.S. but I haven't had any luck finding a used one as of yet but i'm still looking. THE BAY in Montreal sells them. Look for Fisher & Paykel washing machines............Good luck

hay there fellow beginner. check out all these groups here that is how i am learning plus if you want to see how a motor works. I ffound a treadmill motor and took it apart and looked up electric motors how they work on the web. get a volt meter that shows dc and ac volts and read the book withit. also look up electric motors for dummies on the web. they have something for everything. good luck and good wind

Hey, I'm an appliance repairman by trade and i've found those f&p motors under different names. Appliance companies often sell there models to other companies to rebrand. So far i've seen a GE model and a Whirlpool model that were actually F&P's. Of course the F&P's are there too. They all seem to have that severely inclined control panel(laid way back). Pretty easy to spot once you've seen one. And all have been purely electronic touch pad(no knobs). Should help you in your search.

I'm in Mexico and I found one... It wasn't F&P but it will have to do. Probably
it is better than the F&P because the exterior housing was made out of metal
and not plastic like the F&P.

Look hard and you'll find one. I believe the make of the washing machine I
got it out of was a whirlpool (FRONT LOADING). If you're in North America
look for the front loading machines.
