Yes its true, few days ago I had a couple of storm fronts pass through and I actually had wind! The big windmill with the PVC extruded blades peaked a couple of times at 16 amps, where it starts to furl. I didn't hear any noise from the blades at all. Even the little Darrius was spinning! Made a short video on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bODDv5hb5c Glenn The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now. JAQ |

Hi Glenn, the voltage at 7A was sustained at 13.6, but as soon as the current went up to 12A, the voltage jumped to 14.5 or more. looks like some resistance in the battery. How does the battery handle loading? Are these SLA's? Gordon. become more energy aware |

Hi Gordon They are 5 lead acid 12v batteries in parallel, and already fully charged from the morning solar. Its the light hookup wire that gives the higher voltage reading when I start to crank in the amps. I dont usually use over 10 amps so in or out so dont need heavy wire. I could only imagine how much voltage is dropped along the wires to the windmill ![]() Glenn The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now. JAQ |
