Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

If I connect a F&P wind generator to a 1200watt pure
sine wave inverter and then to an existing power point,
what would happen? take into account that 1kw of solar panels are being fed into the grid.
Most of my wind is at night when only the fridge and standby equipment is being used.jasmine

The wind gen needs to be fed across a battery bank or the voltage will rise and smoke the inverter.
Inverter connection to an existing power point is illegal, lethal and will smoke the inverter.
Not sure what the solar has to do with it.
sPuDd.. It should work ...in theory

sPuDd mentioned what will happen, in case you wonder why:
The AC frequencies need to be in sync before you can connect two AC sources together. There is no easy way to do that with a pure sine wave inverter unless it was specifically designed for that (grid connection).

Thanks for the info. Because the solar panels connect to the grid, I thought, what I was thinking of doing might try to connect with the grid and blow up.
I have decided to buy a TC48 for$599 insted and connect to the existing inverter. Thanks very much. jasmine
