Hi Guys, Beibg a novis at this electrical stuff.. I'm wondering if one (or2 or 3) of these mini mills from a printer etc. could be used to help trickle charge my 12v battery on my boat which I use to run a bilge pump. I currently have a dash board type solar trickle charger which puts out about 30 mili amps, I don't really want to put a bigger solar on as I have had a couple of thefts already. Any idea how many mili amps one of these baby's might put out?? I'm open to any help on how to wire it up if anyone is willing. Thanks very much, Dunks Dunks |

Hi Dunks It all depends on what motor you use. If you can find a big stepper motor or 3 phase ac permanent magnet motor from a photo copier or big printer, then you could easily get half an half an amp or so into 12 volts. Do you have any friends in the IT or photocopier/office equipment business? Glenn The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now. JAQ |
