Very clever Ed. Is it double sided? A double sided board could have another coil on the PCB back, either in phase or at 90 degree, giving a 2 phase alternator. Hey, why not go for multi layer  and really watch the manufacture price go up.

It is a multi layer layout, it has 4 layers of 9 turns or traces in series. I thought of doing a dual rotor with it to see how it faired. Putting the magnets that close together is a pretty scarry thought and would take some heavy duty jacking device to get it together or apart without creating a disaster. It might work just as well to use a blank disc behind it as the second rotor. Being that close the magnetic path is pretty short. Have Fun! Windstuff Ed |
