Finally after being becalmed for near 2 weeks, it is blowing a beaut southerly here. My F&P toy is putting 10+ amps into the 6 volt battery bank.

As per murphy's law I am about 24 hours behind putting up my second mill for the 24 volt bank.

Half your luck Robert, had very little here the last few days.

You realise if you put up your 2nd windmill the wind will go away for at least 3 days, its a scientificaly proven fact. Just like if you wash you car it will rain later that day.

hi guys, yes murphy sucked me in, i didnt finish the 2nd mill, the wind stopped so I thought i had plenty of time, guess what, it started blowing a southerly all over again.

The next one to go up is a 3P 80 series wired s/p half & half so to speak, ie 7 coils in series each phase and then the two halves in parallel. Hoping that this will be better for the 24V bank. cheers Robert

Hello Robert,, I'd be pleased to hear how that configuration performs, please.

Thats the new series Stator and Rotor you are talking about ?? The non-cogging type ??

I've had mine up ,but not much wind , when the breeze did come in ,I thought the o/p was fairly dismal --heaps of volts ,but hardly any current-max 3 amps @ 26 odd volts.

Let us know if you are using the new series Stators and Rotors, thanks

Hi Bruce, no I am still using the old one, just dividing it in half, in the hope that the prevailing light NE will put a trickle into the 24v bank
