Hello all, this is my first post! Great to be here!

I'm designing what will be my first diy turbine.

Quick question,

Could someone please give me the outside dimension, as in diameter in mm, of a smart drive rotor?

Much thanks
Andrew

Hi Andy

Welcome to the message board.

OK, the stator itself is 250mm dia, and the magnet hub is just under 280mm dia. The inside diameter of the magnet hub is 251mm, so we only have a 0.5mm clearance between the magents and stator poles.

Hi Glenn,

Cheers for the quick reply!

I'm just in the process of designing the blades and i want them to be just larger than the rotor hub(2m diameter overall).
So that will be a great help, thank you!

Once i have some drawings i'll post them up to get some comments.

Thanks,
Andrew
