Hi all

Just wondering if anyone purchased hugh's plans for the axial flux geny. Is there any one in oz selling them or is it best to buy it from his site.

has any one built a smaller version of it??? I would like to use it for a vawt I want to build. have been toying with some more models and would like to upscale one or two of them.

Cristian I have Hugh's plans I am in the process of building a motor now I just bought my winding wire today What info do you need email me or call on 0428626707 Mick.

Hey Mick

I just want to know if you purchased the plans from his site or did you get them from someone else.

I have know issues with purchasing the plans. ( I'm just a little bit weary about using credit card on net)

On another note just wanted to know how detailed they were did you think they were easy to follow ie drawing for the magnet hubs and so on?

As you haven't finished your unit is there any information in the manual about how big the swept area would have to be to get the proposed maximum power output ( also do know what that is?)

Looking at the plans do you think it would be easy to scale down the PMG to produce about 200W.


P.S. I noticed you're call sign is from Egyptian Mythology are you a fan?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

info@frenergy.com.au This is where I bought the plans and magnets for about $215.00 The plans are very detailed and easy to follow they show metric and imperial mesurments and several different you should not have any trouble following them.I pay with paypal and dont have any worries about paying on the net.Egyptians worshipped the wind and sun gods maybe we all should.

thanks very much for the help.. That is a good point about the Egyptians. Never really thought about them like that.
P.s. My girlfriend is going to Egypt next month maybe i can get here to find some ancient plans to help us here where wind and sun are aplenty.

I am a solar hot water and power distributer for the Townsville area The axial flux moter is a hands on back to basics unit so I am keen to make it work if I encounter any problems I will post them on this website if we can work together we can all benifit keep in touch.I wound my first coil tonight and am happy with the result (think I'll have a beer) anyway keep up the good work sun and wind are free (don't tell little johny)
or he'll find a new tax

little johnny can also make clean grease for mechanics and teach the kids to play in clean sand in the kindy sand pitt Pigs might fly Mick.

Little johhny don't not understand how the windmill,electronic,solar power work, and has no knowedge nor theory know how to fit a nut to bolt if has correct size , never touch spanner nor screwdrive in his whole life because lack of understaning in mechanical mind

Today I finished winding the coils for the axial flux motor next step is to solder the wiring and cast the stator in glass. things are slowly coming together.
