Well the Lenz design windmill didn't work too well as a generator with a F&P. Noise was the killer. So I converted it to a water pump. I had a Festo air ram that I converted to a water pump with the help of a couple of poly fittings and brass one way valves bought from the local hardware store. And it works a beaut! Empties a bucket of water in about 2 minutes. I have a 5000 liter tank next to my shed, and a 1000 liter header tank about 12 meters up the hill. This Lenz will pump water from the main tank to the header tank, where it will gravity feed water to the house. I think the windmill will provide enough pressure to get up the hill, I cant stop the flow with my thumb. Glenn The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now.
