Hi, just wondering if the battery and motor on the 3mm ply wood need a cover over it to protect it from the weather(water)on the mini windmill

Hi Robbie, I have just completed my first windmill and will post it on the forum later.I have covered everything to make it as weather-proof as I could. There is control gear in there as well, and although only $75.00 NZ it takes a while to assemble and fit etc.A battery probably wouldnt hurt too much but in my case Im in a coastal and salty enviroment. To my mind water intrusion into any electronics and or electrical gear is highly un-desireable. Hope this helps a little and good luck with your project. Maaca.
