hi ive just started my first windmill experiment
i have a treadmill motor 180V at 6A
it has a keyed hub not a screw on
i have 900mm of 180mm pvc pipe to make the blades from
should i make them full length or shorter?
any tips would be great

Use the full 900 mm and test the voltage. You can shorten the blades. if turns to slow. "BUT" you will lose blade power too. Have you test run this motor to see how much power it puts out?, At what rpm?. Tat is the best way to tell what size of prop will need.

thanks for the reply
i did a quick test last week with the gen connected
to a 1000w vac motor it put out 2A @ 90V @ 2000rpm
