re question 7 Phase Delta Glen
Theory says you can connect 7 Phase delta for a Sine wave with no harmonics but most harmonics will find the closed circuit a short cct . best like 3 phase use independant unless you want remove harmonics and get better sinewave
Below is the Vector diagram phases a to g then adding two together then adding next to resultant of tht and so on finally when all added a = and opposite so cancels out no emf in closed delta .
So can do as in three phase

Herb,
This is so when connected A,B,C,D,E,F,G
Now try as per my post here
Which is A,C,E,G,B,D,F.
I guarantee you a surprise.
was working fine... til the smoke got out.

Hi Gill to close Xmas for challenges, but I could not resist I will try to transfer from cad prog
I suspect the suprise is the vector additions give much lower sums ie ratios 2 @ 1.25 & 2 @ .544 for ever second connection
wheras 2 @ 2.44 2 @ 1.88 normal
These range of voltages could be used to switch in different ratios yet another approach.
I suspect the image has not come though will print and scan
But in both cases you can close the delta the resultant sum is zero.
