Just check it first.
get both probes on each side of every component and you can see the voltage drop while its under load you dont need to guess where the problem is.

I'm confused, no wait... maybe I'm not...

Put a smaller die in your crimper and really crank down on that connection.
If you are only having one connector heat up what does that tell you?

Failing that cut it off and put a new one on there.

In one of your pictures, there appears to be some type of automotive type (spade connector) fuses on the PCB near the transformers. Maybe they have become "weak", current carrying capacity wise.Edited by tinyt 2019-07-09
