As the topic says, anyone had good or bad experiences with HY5110 mosfets.
Has anyone actually tested the drain source breakdown voltage (with gate shorted to source).Cheers, Tony.

Sorry mate, Haven't even heard of the manufacturer (Huayi Microelectronics) let alone a supplier. I tend to steer clear of any device the usual, reputable, suppliers (RS Components, Element14, Mouser, Digikey) don't stock. It's only an N Channel Enhancement Mode MOSFET. Do you have to use it ?

Warp, I got a bunch of them from LCSC Electronics some time ago, haven't had any issues to date, but haven't measured the breakdown voltage. LCSC should be a reputable supplier. If they are low on stock ask for a quote...

Thanks guys.
A friend of mine is having trouble with some HY5110 mosfets purchased from LCSC blowing up, and one possibility of several, is that the mosfets are below spec.
I have in the past had some serious drama that was eventually traced to counterfeit fake parts either not working, or that failed very quickly. I have not so far used HY5110's myself but recall that others here have, so was just wondering...
Have to agree though that LCSC from all accounts so far, seem to be a reputable source.Cheers, Tony.

Maybe irf100p218 is an alternative?

I just did. I tested both the HY5110 and the HY4008. Both tests with about 30mA current limited by series resistor.
HY5110 Vds 109V HY4008 Vds 85V
The specs for Vds breakdown usually use 250uA. The test had a 3.2K 7W resistor in series, so I measure the breakdown voltage when 0.8V across the 3.2K Rwronger than a phone book full of wrong phone numbers
