used deep cycle batteries wanted, need about 130 of them
the setup we have abuses the hell out of new batteries and they dont last very long, hence it is more cost effective to buy old ones.
or we buy an extremely large amount of new ones to reduce the workload per battery then new ones would be convenient, but we cannot afford it.
Unless anyone is aware of new deep cycle batteries for less then $90 each?
the more AH the batteries have, the less we need.Edited by matter45 2012-03-29

Matter,
chase your local UPS companies and any recycling companies.
You may get more rejections on the phone. I find an impromptu pop in and chat works well, & sometimes they can point you to someone else who can help.
Most metal recyclers have them and you can purchase them for peanuts, I bought mine for $10.00 , A calcium type. They also service the military to which they change over every two years.
I also spoke with the battery wholesalers and depends on the branch you can register your interest and they can offer you the changed over ones.
