It's not rated for that. Just put three or four 1N4007's in series with the supply. That'll drop the voltage by a volt or two. My PCB allows for a series Schottky diode for polarity protection (ctr +ve on a barrel jack) so you could use that area of the board to hang them in mid air. On this new board is that footprint for an IC for PSRAM? If so I would like to get one of these boards. |

Yes - U33 is a PSRAM. :) Mick Zilog Inside! nascom.info for Nascom & Gemini Preliminary MMBasic docs & my PCB designs |

I'll post the gerbers etc. once I've tested the ones I've ordered. They are currently on route from Hong Kong |

Thanks for answering. What is the largest capacity chip that can be used there and what is it so I can order some? Maybe someone can order the boards with one Assembled on it. and I would like to be the first one to say I'll pay for one. I think we have to wait until we get a go-ahead from matherp after he gets his card in. |

Interesting... The S09 buck-boost converter will run from a single 18650 and draws around 390mA when powering my PiccoGAME HDMI. The HDMI signal went off as the cell reached about 3.4V so it's not something I'd recommend. Two cells would be realistic though. That's it from my little intrusion into this thread, much to everyone's relief, no doubt. :) ------------- I like the look of this new board from Peter. I might be tempted... :) Mick Zilog Inside! nascom.info for Nascom & Gemini Preliminary MMBasic docs & my PCB designs |

All: If you have had boards made to my USB reference design with the 4-port hub please PM me the JLC order number for the smd assembly (starts SMT). You can get this from the order history on your JLC account. Please include the order date and whether the hub works properly - thanks |

I'm now happy to release the design files for the 2B version of the reference design. This has I2S audio and the rp2350B giving 22 I/O pins on the external header including all 8 ADC pins. The board is fully tested up to and including 1280x720 resolution with DVDD set to 1.3V The overcurrent protection for the USB hub is disabled so it will work with all batches of the CH334F. There is a re-setable fuse on the USB 5V line so this isn't an issue. Schematic 32c6a41b-0058-4b43-a15f-3550061d4cda.pdf Gerbers Gerber_PCB1_2025-03-20.zip BOM and P&P BOM_P&P_2025-03-20.zip EasyEDA design file PicoUSBMotherboardV3.0.zip DXF files for end-plates for the box HDMIUSBV2.0B.zip There are two small changes from my prototypes. First, I'd lost one of the four mounting holes which has now returned. Second, the external I/O header was too close to the HDMI connector so I have removed 2 VCC pins and reduced the header to 30-pins from 32. Note that JLC/LCSC is still out of stock of the APS6404L-3SQR-SN PSRAM chip so you will need to source this separately and install it yourself if required. Also, you can save some cost by buying the various through-hole components yourself and soldering them on the boards supplied by JLC. I do have a surplus of fully loaded and tested RP2350 boards which I would like to sell to anyone in the UK 3 * RP2350B DIL boards @ £20 each 1 * Pico2 reference design @ £25 4 * RP2350B reference design @ 30 - note these are missing one mounting hole and 2 GND pins on the external header are not accessible Drop me a PM if interested. ![]() Edited 2025-03-22 04:11 by matherp |

Hello Peter, many thanks for your great work. As already announced, I would now place my first order at https://jlcpcb.com/. I have uploaded the zip file of the Gerber files and adopted these settings. Is that OK so far? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I just accept all the defaults so if you have done the same you will be fine. Of course you can change colour if you want - just slows delivery by a couple of days |

OK, then it's actually very simple. Do I also have to upload the BOM and P&P files? And what about the DXF files for end-plates for the box? Should I order them at the same time? Or is that not important at first? |

In the order process you will be asked for those files. The frontpanels are another order you have to place. Greetings Daniel Edited 2025-03-22 06:25 by Amnesie |

Ok, the question about the BOM and P&P has been answered. ![]() This warning came up, which I ignored: ![]() I now have that in my shopping basket. Do I have everything I need to order? ![]() |

...The frontpanels are another order you have to place. Greetings Daniel How do I order the DXF files for end panels for the box? Is this done via ‘CNC Machining’ or ‘3D Printing’? |

I have tried this with CNC Machining, but after uploading the .dxf file I get this message: ![]() |

ManiB The dxf files are only the bare outlines of the panels. CNC Machining is the wrong thing to do... Personally I would import them into EasyEDA and add some markings like text and so on... After that you can save it as an PCB and order it like a normal PCB. Greetings Daniel |

I created some panels as PCB from peters DXF... Gerbers: (just order as normal PCB and IMPORTANT!! write in JLCPCB additional notes, that it is OK that there are no tracks, it is intended as panel only)... Without this additional note they often ask, if this is right... And you must select: Mark on PCB Order Number(Specify Position) This way the JLC order number is on the backside silkscreen. ![]() ![]() Gerbers: Gerber_panels_frontpanel_2025-03-22.zip Gerber_panels_backpanel_2025-03-22.zip Greetings Daniel Edited 2025-03-22 09:15 by Amnesie |

And I converted Peter's DXF to STL using Fusion a long time ago. I don't know if that helps. This worked well for my devices. PicoMiteHDMIUSB.zip Regards Michael causality ≠ correlation ≠ coincidence |
