Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Quote  Do you have to turn on the capability to use drive C: with an OPTION or is the USB drive automatically detected?

This functionality, if I keep it in, relates to the USB variants of the firmware. i.e. those that run in USB host mode and it just another supported USB device - no configuration needed. It doesn't apply to standard versions (as used on the PicoCalc). The PicoCalc could run the USB variants using the USB port on the Pico as the host connection but AFAIK there is no way to get a reliable serial console on the USB-C port as they have done stange things with the switching of the signals to the USB/UART driving that port. Otherwise you would be faced with a USB/UART stuck off the side port to get a console assuming sensible pins are available there.

I can't even get the USB version to boot on a PicoCalc, so I guess that's out. Thanks for the reply!
