Looks interesting Vawtman! You will not many RPM with that diameter! ![]() |

Hi KiwiJohn, I think on this large diameter and so many magnets, will be a quick swich on N-S, N-S, N-S ... magnetic poles on low RPM. Also think you don't need to completely surround the entire rotor withh a stator, only a part or a half. Is great for a pedal generator. Hi Guys It will capable of 60hz at only 120rpms perfect for a larger vawt i think. Trying to design the stator sorta like the seeley. Its a fun project for me. ![]() |

That is true Vasi, I have only less than half a F&P stator on my pedal generator. |

Hey fella's... Odd question here, but do you think it would be possible to use one of these selley electric motors as a low voltage high power dc motor? for example, to move a motorbike, running off 24v? Trying to find a good motor, not having much luck ![]() |

yes but is easer to ues fp cos can rewire it for more amps less volt, i sucsefully power a 80 sp was using around 20 v into a brushles speed controler for eletric helacopter some can handle up to 100 amps and 13v to 25v , mmm but a parralel winding would be more powefull at gess looked around 500 rpm / controler aparently can do 210 000 rpm on 2 pole motor selly would be easy at hi volt to do but lo volt to hard unless re wound and re wire. fp is easer to wire more ampy like 100 p prob best dident try delta yet (burnt my hand trying to stop it thow hahaha)(dosent have lowenuf resistance in a standard wire fp) may put it in robot(prob could tow a car ) or bike , yes u could use to start a fp but is step Backwards make root aria by hub bigger at least foot sided tringals near center at corect angles out tin works well glue screw , any 1 can add me to yahoo chat to find out detals aaron32gtr@yahoo.com or hotmail ![]() help to make progres or radio and vitamin b |
