Hello Glenn,my wife was ecstactic when she saw what you had done.Thankyou for including my info.In the text I wrote 26mm along the centreline.It would be clearer if it said 26mm apart along the centre line.
And a note about the increase in stator diameter from this method that may require a lick with a rotary file or light cut in the lathe.

I you are replacing the magnets with neos, has anyone found a good angle for decogging? I'm thinking between 10 and 15 degrees. How does this compare with what anyone has done?

Hi Glenn,looking good.My wifes reaction was predicated on disbelief that others predominatly blokes actually take windmills seriously.Yes that thing in the garage does have some potential but no it won't mow the grass.Thanks again for giving it an outing.Michael Lawley certainly wasn't so enthusiastic about it???.Some credit goes to I think HERBNZ who's initial murmurings about twisting poles with a shifter I found prior to signing up.

Hey imsmooth. I think 10 degrees will work fine, but we'll see if any of the neo conversion guys can comment, I've never done a Neo conversion myself.

Yeah Anthony I do need to mention Michael and Herbnz, both have contributed to rounding and twisting the poles. I can understand why Michael may keep a few secrets, its his living afterall. I like to mention the names of those who have contributed, but sometimes its difficult to know when to stop.

You should tell you wife about how members on this site are from all over. One member, Vasi, is in Romania. We sent him a couple of F&P's last year, thanks to KiwiJohn.

Hi Glenn,, OK by me ,, you have a nice page there and some pretty good ideas from others.

My new neo rotor needs 8 magnets to be sourced,,must have broke a few removing them from a past "failure" rotor.

The new page looks great Glenn and I don't mind my name on the page. The idea of actually twisting the poles looks very interesting too, however I would not risk damaging the stator when it cost me so much to get just one here to Canada. I must say I like the pictures you guys are posting right now, it was minus 33c this morning when I went to work, it makes me think I have to move there. Thanks again Glenn, great work.

I'm eager to contribute to this wonderful forum, which has helped me a lot with my FP gen project.

For some reason, the cylindrical grinders that you can use with your electric drilling machine are (officially) called:

mounted point

I bought 2 of them for A$12 here in Melbourne yesterday. Good stuff. Works well. Decogging is in progress... thinking of making a jig that holds the FP stator and the drilling machine is on a lever..
