Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Thanks for replying. I am happy there is no problem. When testing yourself, you become blind for mistakes.

Hello Volhout, I like your project a lot!
I would like to offer this mini arcade housing as a small contribution. It's not finally done but the display carrier which is missing will fit for an ILI9341. Everything is 3D printable and, once the fastening wholes are constructed, screw-able. The surfaces have a 1mm pocket to hide the screws with artwork stickers. Done with Freecad and each part can be directly exported as STL. Hope you like it!

Nice !!

The buttons are not aligned as Game*Mite, so you need to build a custom button board. When possible, put the parts on 0.254mm grid, so you can use perf board. Otherwise you need to design an accurate board layout that fit's the holes in the design.

Are you planning a 2.8 or 3.2" display ? The 3.2 is nice because larger, but is more expensive. I am not sure there is a 3.5" with ILI9341.

Good work,

Hello Volhout,

it's designed for the standard 3.2-inch display.
As soon as I'm done, I'll publish the final version.
I’m arranging the buttons in a 2.54 mm pitch. And maybe I’ll design a carrier board for the buttons using KiCad.

Two questions: Is there a schematic for your platform that I can take a closer look at, and does it support touch?

Regards

Hi dddns,

All information about the Game*Mite (2040 version) can be found here:

Game*Mite info

The 2350 Game*Mite is identical, only the Pico-1 is replaced by a Pico-2.
Touch is integrated in the Game*Mite, but there is (to my knowledge) no one using it.
In fact, you can buy the ILI9341 modules with- and without- touch, and I think my 2 Game*Mite platforms do not have the touch chip on the module.

Regards,

Volhout

P.S. The new uf2 files, and games are not on this github. This is the github that "thwill" created when he released the Game*Mite. Maybe they are added one day, but not at this moment.

P.P.S. The Game*Mite is I/O compatible with Geoff's PicoGamer. IF you build something, you can also build the PicoGamer (it uses a pico variant with LIPO charger built in, and a different audio amplifier).

The housing is optimized for 3D printing and finished so far. It can be assembled with small 2x10mm screws.

Regards

EDIT: I would suggest ABS, 0.25mm layer height and 50% infill in case somebody wants to try printing
